What is Applied Kinesiology?
The word kinesiology comes from the Greek kinesis, to move, and logy, to study. Applied kinesiology is a non-invasive approach that uses muscle testing as a tool to evaluate the factors contributing to your symptoms, including environmental and chemical exposures, food sensitivities, emotional stress, and nutritional deficiencies. By identifying and removing these stressors, and adding nutritional support where it's needed, the goal is to help the body return to a state of balance so symptoms can ease. It's an affordable, gentle way to address a range of concerns, from gastrointestinal issues and sluggish detoxification to ongoing fatigue. Muscle testing with Jennifer Geitgey is focused on evaluation and nutritional support, and does not include adjustments or spinal manipulation.

What does a muscle-testing session feel like?
It's gentle and non-invasive. Your practitioner applies light pressure to a muscle and observes how it responds, which helps identify the stressors that may be affecting you. There's no discomfort involved.
Does this include adjustments or spinal manipulation?
No. Muscle testing with Jennifer Geitgey is focused on evaluation and nutritional support. It does not include chiropractic adjustments or spinal manipulation.
Do I need to bring lab work?
It's helpful but not required. Your first visit includes a review of any lab work you bring in, and you'll have the option to order insurance-based or self-pay labs from our menu if your provider recommends it.
Can Applied Kinesiology replace my regular doctor?
No. This service is not a substitute for medical or primary care. We ask that you keep a primary care provider for urgent needs and chronic disease management, and we'll refer you out when something calls for it.
How is this different from functional medicine?
Applied kinesiology uses muscle testing as its evaluation tool and centers on nutritional and lifestyle support. It does not include prescription management or functional medicine testing such as stool, DUTCH, or mycotoxin panels.
Can I get supplements through the practice?
Yes. Clients receive a Fullscript discount for purchasing supplements recommended during your visits.
Do I need to have a membership to participate in the GLP-1 Program?
No. This is a signature offering with its own pricing, so you don't need a functional medicine membership to take part.
