Friends, welcome to December

What energy are you feeling here at the end of another year? Excitement? Dread? Anxiety? Peace? A mixture? Are you looking at your friends and family, or possibly your growing children, and asking yourself, “How is it possible it is December already?”

You are not alone, lots of us feel this way.

Over the last five months in this blog, we have been exploring monthly themes for reclaiming and embodying daily vitality. These mixed and sometimes frenzied feelings at the end of the year are exactly why we have been looking at ways to bring vitality and pacing to your life.

In August we explored High Self-worth; what it is, how to raise your own sense of self-worth and why developing very high self-worth is vital to everyone around you.

In September, we learned about Acceptance, Reflection and Reverence. Reflection on your past experiences and reverence for Life teeming around you helps your nervous system regulate and has the effect of slowing down time so that you can feel the sense of Presence everyone is always reaching for. From a more regulated place, you are able to gain better clarity on how to move forward in any situation you may be facing.

In the Spooky Season of October, we looked at Dreaming Yourself into Being. What are the things your Soul and Body are whispering for you to do that may feel too scary or “outside your box.” In our Partnered Healing Community Group session we workshopped how to take appropriate action toward your dreams and how to regulate your nervous system at the same time.

In November we discussed Preparing for Your Own Peace. The descent into the cold winter and the holidays is hard for a lot of people. You can ease this significantly by paying attention to what your Soul and Body are communicating to you. What lights you up? What drains your energy? What are your personal boundaries on time, food tolerances, finances, energy, and commitments?

This December we are going to keep bringing all of these past themes with us. Remind yourself of these concepts and micro-practices:

  • Saying no when you want to say no.

  • Saying yes when you want to say yes.

  • Easing the critical voice inside your head by seeing yourself as worthy and tender as a newborn baby.

  • Realizing your life is a work in progress.

  • Treating your Body and Soul with kind attention.

  • Recognizing when you are at war with your own body and see the symptoms as messages for your own highest good.

  • Building capacity in your nervous system so you can hold the 10,000 Joys and Sorrows.

  • Bringing more of what lights you up into your daily life.

None of this is intended to be perfectly done. Hold them loosely but with intention. Rigidity in the mind in the form of beliefs and thoughts becomes rigidity, stiffness, and pain in the muscles and joints of the body. Where can you soften? Where can you be more kind and compassionate to yourself?

Partnered Healing Community Groups, open to all PH members, will return in January! We hope to see you there!
